What's New (May)!

We've added a new aircraft to the list of aircraft flown at TPS. The AN-2 Colt; the world's largest single engine bi-plane. It first went into production in 1949. More than 20,000 AN-2's were built. Check it out on the aircraft page and learn more about it at this link.

XF-108 Rapier

The XF-108 Rapier was an experimental aircraft design by North American Aviation. It was intended to be a Mach 3 Interceptor. The program was cancelled in 1959 with only one non-flight worthy mockup produced.

Today (2/28/07) Class 06B reached a milestone in a nerdy engineer sense. As we study avionics systems and learn all about binary and hexidecimal information being passed along data buses a few of us hard-working engineers could not pass on the opportunity to photograph this binary milestone. These numbers mean something in binary with regard to the graduation countdown, but when converted to a decimal number, 682, it means absolutely nothing to us!
