The 1970's

The Mansfield Hornets opened the decade with back to back winless seasons. The first half of the decade was plagued by several losing seasons. It wasn't until 1976 that mansfield had a winning season, the first in eight years and it was one of the best, winning the Hockomock League Championship with an 8-1 overall record. The rest of the decade was a success with Mansfield winning no fewer than 6 games a season. For the decade Mansfield finished a dismal 38-53-4 (.421), the worst decade winning percentage in the history of the team.
